Man, does this guy commit? Or does this guy commit?!
Showing that age is truly just a number, at 61, J.K. Simmons is showing that he is prepared to hold his own next to Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in next year's Justice League. As reported by batman-news.com, and by way of U.S. Marine/Actor/Fitness Pro Aaron Williamson's Instagram account, we have been offered a small glimpse of the lengths that Mr. Simmons is willing to go to make his Commissioner Gordon stand out from past iterations. Does this mean that we will see a more physical version of the character? Will he be duking it out right beside Batman, Superman and the rest of the Justice League? I sure hope so, because I'd hate to see him go through all of this punishment just to have those arm cannons hidden in a trench coat the whole movie. If it turns out that way though, I suppose that it won't be that big of a surprise... After all, Ben Affleck transformed himself into a hulking brute for his turn as the Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the only showing off he got to do was a pointless 2 minute training montage in a horribly lit bat cave.
Kudos to you Mr. Simmons for showing the whippersnappers how it is done!
